As someone who is passionate about nutrition, it is partly with shame that I admit that I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts. My absolute favorite flavor is Caramel Kreme Crunch, a freshly baked doughnut filled with gooey caramel sauce and topped with melt-in-your-mouth chocolate icing and crunchy toffee pieces. It is absolutely the most delicious doughnut I have ever had. I like that Krispy Kreme has a drive-thru, but I never use it for two reasons. First, if I am going to be indulging in doughnuts, the least I can do is walk into the store and at least burn a few extra calories. Second, I love the self-guided tour and the free "samples" in the store. The tour allos you to walk along the production line and see how the classic glazed doughnut is made, starting with the rising of the dough. If you go in when the "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign is lit, your tour ends with a free, hot glazed doughnut. If you have never eaten a hot glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut, be forewarned that they are lighter than air, melt in your mouth, and leave you wanting more. Back to my love for nutrition as well, Krispy Kreme did just come out with a whole wheat glazed dought, which I was able to sample during my most recent trip. It is not bad. Whole wheat tends to make baked goods more dry in texture, but Krispy Kreme has found a way to keep the doughnuts moist and tasty. They are not the same as the original glazed doughnuts, but pretty good considering they have more fiber than the original. I love Krispy Kreme.

Many people love their spouse, but not everyone is in love with their spouse. I know I wasn't for the first several years of our marriage, but after a devaststing experience and subsequent counseling, I have grown to absolutely love my husband and I am totally, head over heels, in love with him. It helps that not only is he extremely good looking, but that he never hestitates to help me with the housework and the children, without being asked. He likes to have fun and is playful with me and the kids. He has been known to come home from work with roses for no specific reason and knows how to make me feel special. This year for valentine's day, he made me a word document that expressed his feelings for me and it touched me in a way that no other gift or store bought card could have. He works two jobs in order to allow me to stay home with our children because he knows how important it is to me to be home with them. He is a strong provider and a wonderful caretaker and I do not kow what I would do without him in my life. Oh how much I love my husband.
As the mother of a 2 month old, I barely remember getting a good night's sleep, but this has only helped me to appreciate them more. I am not asking for 10 or even 8 full hours of sleep, maybe just 6 hours of uninterrupted, solid sleep. The kind where you wake up and are ready to hop out of bed and take on the world, or at least the 5 foot high pile of laundry. I don't even need to get this kind of sleep every night, just once in a while, often enough to recharge my batteries before they are totally drained. To make matters worse, my beloved baby has not been feeling well and I am going on night #4 of her waking every hour and not wanting to go back to sleep. Not only am I not getting a good night's sleep, I am barely getting ANY sleep and I walk around like a zombie the next day. Well, at least I can daydream (since real dreams require sleep) about curling up under my nice warm blanket, laying my head on my fluffy pillow, inhaling the scent of freshly laundered sheets, closing my eyes and drifting of to a full night of uninterrupted sleep. Man, I love a good night's sleep.
